Organ Donation
Overview

In India, the organ donation rate is low at 0.5 donors per million population, compared to 30 or more donors per million in other countries. This shortage of organs has led to an increasing gap between the number of organs donated and the number of patients waiting for transplants. As a result, nearly half a million Indians die due to lack of timely organ transplants.

Organ Donation and Transplantation

Organ donation and transplantation is a surgical process in which a healthy organ is removed from one person and transplanted into another person whose organ has failed or been damaged by disease or injury. It is one of the greatest advancements in modern medicine, but the demand for organ donors greatly surpasses the number of people willing to donate. Every day, many people die while waiting for an organ transplant.

At JeevanJyoti Hospitals, we strive to increase the organ donation rate in the country and save lives. Our team of highly trained and experienced medical professionals provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care for organ transplantation procedures. We are proud to offer you the opportunity to make a difference by pledging to donate your organs.

At any age, you have the potential to be an organ donor. Upon death, our medical team evaluates potential donors based on their medical history. Our hospital’s organ procurement center will determine medical suitability for donation.

Donating your organs will not affect the quality of medical care you receive at our hospital. We will ensure that you receive the best possible care after your donation procedure. Additionally, we do not charge the donor’s family or estate for the donation of organs, tissue, or eyes.
